Water Fun!

What a lovely sunny morning, so whilst our newly hatched chicks were sleeping we enjoyed the weather with lots of water fun outside.

We were pouring, spraying (sometimes each other!), writing then watching it evaporate and experimenting how water travels. It was one of those wonderful days at nursery.

The children have just witnessed an amazing thing, a baby chick hatching.

The chicks have hatched!

I came in this morning to find that four chicks have hatched. I can see pips in more eggs so keep watching today for more arrivals.

Baby clinic

This term our theme is 'Changes' In this theme we will be exploring how things grow and change. We already have the tadpoles that we are observing. Next week our chick hatching project is arriving and the children will be able to observe chicks hatching. After that the butterfly project will start and we will be observing caterpillar's metamorphosis.

The baby clinic focuses our conversation on how we grow. It's an exciting term, keep watching!
